Monday Sept. 18 6:30pm, a group of Water Warriors met with Lloyd to discuss our Personal Artesian Water Source (PAWS) situation .
The purpose of our meeting, was to discuss with Lloyd some outstanding concerns we have regarding some resistance in retrieving key pieces of information from agencies such as : Public Health, Medical Officer, HCA, etc.
Much to our surprise, Lloyd started off the meeting with a possible solution. Although, could seem great news we believe there is much to work out.
We have reiterated to Lloyd, that we would be in agreement of such a solution without jeopardizing our goal and intention: Protecting our personal water source and keeping the waterflow free and accessible to all, as per the gift and intention of William Kennedy. Further discussion is needed especially keeping Access and public easement and covenants in tact.
It is a beginning, and we left the meeting with the understanding that we will take into consideration his offer, but that we would need , to review with the other well users, and with legal counsel.
We recognize that Lloyd has quite the job to ensure this personal water source is available for generations to come, as do we all. We feel the responsibility of doing the right thing for generations to come. It appears we will need representation to move this forward.
We have decided perhaps it’s best we meet at Copetown Monday night. 7:30pm. We would love to see you there. We will again have a 50/50 draw, and some fundraising , as we may be needing legal representation.
Join us for further details and updates. We are also looking for help to connect with our community resources.
